A differenza di molte alternative economiche disponibili su Amazon, questo prodotto si contraddistingue per materiali di buona fattura e promette (spero) una lunga durabilitC . La trovo anche confortevole da indossare, un aspetto non trascurabile per sessioni di lettura prolungate.
Due piccoli appunti: il primo C( il prezzo, che personalmente ritengo potrebbe essere piC9 accessibile. Il secondo punto riguarda la regolazione dell’intensitC luminosa: anche al livello piC9 basso, la luminositC C( piuttosto intensa, il che potrebbe rappresentare un disturbo per chi condivide la stanza con persone sensibili alla luce. Per chi si trova in questa situazione, consiglierei di considerare una luce led a pinza, che si attacca direttamente sul libro, come un’alternativa piC9 discreta.
Insomma, se cercate una luce da lettura durevole, mi sembra di poter dire che la Glocusent sia un’ottima scelta, nonostante il prezzo leggermente elevato e il limite nella regolazione dell’intensitC luminosa.
Yes, this looks a little dorky, but it works exactly as I hoped. My clip-on book light died and I decided to try this collar style so I could use it to illuminate my sewing as well as reading. The light is bright and I appreciate the different settings, the battery lasts super long, and itb s so comfortable that I often forget Ib m wearing it. My parents like mine so much they purchased their own for reading, in the recently upgraded slimmer style.
On balance, it is a great product worthy of the many thousands of purchases and positive reviews.
I bought it for reading because I was frustrated that when reading books or papers I find it very hard to have proper task lighting in different locations. This light definitely takes care of that. I am working on research projects that require me to read actual books and I used it immediately for hours. It works great when I am sitting on my a couch, on an office chair or even in bed (sitting up in bed or if you are looking up instead of sideways; I do not think it very practical if you want to lie down). And it works just as well if I am standing at my high desk or just standing by the bookcases looking for a quick reference. That versatility and mobility, combined with consistent lighting for the book I was reading is exactly what I wanted.
Battery life appears to be quite long and I love the brightness directly placed on the page I am reading and how it moves with me as I turn the pages. The three levels of brightness and color alternatives allow you to choose what works best in your environment and for your eyes. (I would heed the manufacturer’s warning not to look directly into the light, I have not done it, but I think it a very bad idea).
The unit also works as task lighting when you need your hands to be free and in tight positions.
I read some concern about the center piece not being flexible. I disagree. The wider center means that the unit rests on your shoulder, not on your neck. That makes it a lot more comfortable to wear for extended periods, especially because it does not weigh very much. I actually forgot I was wearing it when I went from reading in a sitting position to working at my computer which is on a standing desk.
My only criticism and concern is that it is too easy to turn it on. The lightest of touches will turn on either light. In fact, I was very surprised that both lights were on at full intensity when I first opened the box, despite the box being sealed and the unit being in its factory plastic packaging. This seems dangerous. I would absolutely not put it in luggage or even carry it in a backpack, which is unfortunate as it would otherwise seem like a great travel gadget.
The manufacturer seems very responsive to feedback. Perhaps using the center button as some sort of lock?
It was bought as a present, to read while travelling by car, coach… It is great, that both hands can be free for holding a book and turn the pages (without actually disturbing the car driver, or a sleeping person) because this light rests on the neck, and easily can be made to direct the lights in any directions wanted via the bendy arms. There are 3 modes of brightness levels, which can either work both sides together or individually. The best bit is that it is USB rechargeable (no batteries dying off) and one full charge lasts for ages. It is super comfy to wear, and can be used anywhere when both hands need to be free and light is needed (getting shopping out of the car, 0r dark cupboard to check plumbing…)
Despite my contacts and sitting near a lamp, I always struggle to see smaller details when the colors are too similar. I tried this neck lamp for the first time and was super impressed. The lights are very bright, I love how I can change the warmth, and it makes it so much easier to see what I’m working on! I also love how sturdy but comfortable it feels when it’s on my neck. I can easily move the lights around at different angles and heights, but it doesn’t become less stable. This is so handy!
Got thos because I have another 1 the other half bought for valentines day last year and I decided to get a spare as I do pet sitting and some stuff it’s just easier to have 2. I like the style, the brightness and, like my other 1, I generally find it more comfortable when I have something with a collar on so the light is more comfortable but it’s light and a jumper stops it wiggling round. It’s not terrible to use with a t-shirt or anything, it’s just my personal preference. The back of this has a sort of velvety pad, I assume to stop it moving as much and for comfort which my other light doesn’t have so it might be a bit more comfortable to wear round your neck without something under it but I haven’t tried it yet.
Overall I’m happy with it. It’s the same as my other light, apart from the pad in the back, so I know the settings I like already and it does a good job of lighting up my crochet, especially darker colours at this time of year.
Worth getting if you don’t want to spend a fortune on a neck light or you want to try one to see if it’s something you’ll make use of before you get a more expensive one.
Very nice to have around. I bought mine specifically for reading. I turn lights off and often leave them off until practical. Electric Co. hates me. I like to be organized and can find things in the dark quickly. That may not be the case for most. You might want to grab a beverage, some reference materials, or quick set up coffee for the morning. I wanted a device to use around the enviorns for more generally (value/utility) and since have actually used much more often than I’d hoped. The brightness settings are useful and the posable nature of the device makes it very flexible. It has held up (to usage and drops) and recharges well. It is more sturdy than the thin gooseneck types, but yields if you look around or get drowsy. The switches dont make much noise, so you may want to play a little with the settings to become familiar with them and what works best for each task. You might just find a setting you like and leave it there, too. This ought to be very useful for power outages and for after hours movements. Say, you don’t live alone and would rather not want to turn on several lights as you’re rummaging through the realm. Elderly should have a couple of these… or comparable products, where they can easily reach them. One in a bedroom, a garage, or car, places they spend a lot of time and need to see where they’re going to reduce chance of falling or colliding. They can easily hang over a post, chair, small hook, or coil and fit inside certain (not included) cases, or inside the pocket or a purse, day bag, duffle, or backpack. Save yourself a nasty fall and get something like this and you will soon see (haha) the utility.

Ich habe die Lampe bestellt um auch im Winter mit dunkler Wolle hC$keln zu kC6nnen. Oft sieht man da die einzelnen Maschen nicht.
Mit dieser Lampe ist das kein Problem.
Man legt sie sich um, richtet die Arme und LichtstC$rke ein, wie man sie braucht und kann loshC$keln. Mir reicht auch das Licht einer Seite aus. Ich brauche nicht beide Lampen.
Einmal eingestellt, verrutscht der Arm der Lampe trotz der Bewegung nicht.
Sie ist sehr angenehm zu tragen.
Wie lange der Akku hC$lt, kann ich leider noch nicht sagen.

This is great to read to my child (who sleeps in our bed) while my husband falls asleep before her! It is very comfortable around the neck, light weight, flexible. We always use the warm light mode, but there are 2 other colors. We also use it only in the lowest brightness setting. It is plenty bright to read a book and look at everything she wants to. Sometimes I only turn on 1 light, not both and it’s still great.
This has improved the quality of our bedtime reading experience.
This is my second book light from this company. It has great flexibility, is lightweight, very bright and easy to use. The company reached out to me when I ordered to introduce themselves, tell of the product’s features, how to get the most out of it, and to remind me of their incredible 36 month warranty! Who does this? What great customer service. I had forgotten about the warranty and my first light was only a year old but experiencing some battery issues. I inquired about it and they are sending me a replacement for that one as well! I highly recommend this light and this seller. You will not be disappointed. Bravo Glocusent!
Bought this to use as I do hand sewing while I watch TV. Donb t want a bright lamp lighting up the whole room. Works great! I use it more than I thought I would. Charge lasts a long time! Ib ve also used it for reading. Different levels of light is helpful to get it just right.
