If you’re never used one of these, you don’t know how handy they are. Excellent for finding small metallic items (screws, bolts, washers, etc) that you drop. Because it is elongated, makes it easy to retrieve even if it rolls under something. The light is bright and the magnet fairly strong. I’m my opinion, this should be in everyone’s toolbox.
Would buy again! But do not think it necessary. Could not find something and and decided to use. To my surprise, did not have to pull out the couch for bent the tip and pulled it out swiftly. Great idea.

way too small not worth money
I bought this for myself as I sew and pins drop onto the carpet, making it hard to find the pins. Surprisingly the magnet on one end of the flashlight is quite strong. Even my husband was amazed at the magnetic strength.
The flashight is quite bright and has a wide scope to cover a larger distance (if that makes sense). The wand telescopes making it easier when needing to pick up any kind of metal object like screws, bolts, needles, pins. You don’t have to get down on your hands and knees to find those lost objects.
We both like that it is not heavy to hold. Looks like a skinny flashlight. You could keep it in a tool box, get one for the car. Would make a great gift for husbands.

I purchased this item after buying a similar magnetic probe at a Big Box store. The other magnet was double the price of this item and had a very weak magnetic. Additionally, it was too long to store in my toolbox. So I took it back for a refund, and ordered this item. It is just perfect, only 6 inches long, then telescopes to 22 inches with a flexible head. It has a strong magnet, plus it is lighted. And best yet, includes two sets of batteries. The quality is excellent. Great gift at a reasonable price.
