User Reviews
1) Asking for another two pack for Christmas so we can both have one in our offices.
I work with kids and wanted a way to not just have pictures of my family and adventures but have collected lots of drawings. This is a fun way to display the artwork… and FINALLY not feel awful about recycling all the pictures in my office! Easy to send pictures to the frame
2) Loved receiving this as a gift so much I have gifted others with their own frames.
Easy to set up. Scrolls through the photos you load smoothly. You can set when the frame turns on/off. Easy for friends and family to send you photos. The only minor disappointment is the frame’s handling of vertical photos. Nonetheless, it hasn’t stopped me from buying for others.
3) Unfortunately, faced some issues with customer service.
Initially, the frame and set-up seemed fine. However, when we encountered problems with the custom email address, customer service was slow to respond and we had to rely on their assistance. There were also issues with the mail icon and timer remaining on the frame for an extended period of time.
4) A great way to enjoy a digital photo collection.
This digital frame allows you to upload and enjoy thousands of photos without taking up physical space. The only drawback is that photo organization requires a yearly fee.
5) A frame that brings joy and connection.
Perfect for those with distant family members. The frame allows you to see memories of loved ones every day and watch them grow up. Both the kids and grandparents enjoy this unique way of staying connected.

This is a great digital frame. I have thousands of photos on my iPhone that I love of my family and friends. I simply don’t have enough wall or shelf space to print and frame too many photos so this is a lovely way to upload your photos and enjoy the slide show. It’s mesmerizing for me and my guests, to watch the memories slide by. The only negative thing is that you can’t organize the photos unless you pay the yearly fee.
Love this frame! The size is great because it’s so big. Love seeing my family and friends flash by. I had trouble getting pictures at first. The instructions are pretty limited and I’m not real tech savvy! The best way to transfer them for me was to get the app for the frame and download them from my phone. It would only allow me to do 10 pictures at a time. But they transferred to the frame pretty quickly that way. I tried the email route and never got it right.
Loved it
I researched several digital frames before making this purchase as a birthday gift. Very happy customer.
Pros:
– Easy to use even for non tech savvy people
– Great picture quality
– It has a matte; most digital frames don’t include one
– You can use an e-mail to upload pics instead of just an app
– When you gift it, there’s a feature that notifies the recipient of new pictures!
Cons:
– Some features are locked behind a subscription which, for a frame, seems like an odd choice
– The frame quality could be a little bit better in my opinion although I’d rate it a 7/10
When comparing the other options I think the Skylight Frame gives the best value on the market right now.
I ordered this for my grandmother when she went into the care center. Our entire family can now send her pictures and she can see them immediately. She said all of the staff loves to come in and see the pictures of her grand kids and she loves to sit and watch them
We LOVE this frame. A great way to see memories everyday! Our kids and Grandkids live far away and we don’t get to see them a lot but with this frame we get to see them everyday and watch them grow up so much better than just a picture it’s pictures of their lives, and they love to watch it when they visit.
Loved receiving this as a gift so much I have gifted others with their own frames. Easy to set up. Scrolls through the photos you load smoothly. You can set when the frame turns on/off. Easy for friends and family to send you photos. If they send something you don’t want, it’s easy to delete as well!. The only thing that’s a little disappointing is many of the photos sent to me are in portrait mode (vertical) and when that happens, the frame will blur the space around the photo not taken up by the frame. If the photo arrives in landscape mode(horizontal) it will fill the frame. It’s only a minor thing and it has not stopped me from buying for others.
This is the best gift I ever bought myself! My coworkers were always asking me about recent pictures of my grandkids and since I never printed pictures anymore I never had any! Now I can send pictures straight to my frame and so can my adult children! I can’t tell you how much I love this frame! You can even set hours of when it is on! For anyone with out of town family or just anyone that loves to get pictures from family members this frame is for you!
I bought 2 of these- one for each set of grandparents- so that they can keep up with our new bub. The frames are so easy to set up. Even my Mum who struggles with technology can use it. The look of the frame is very sleek. It’s a high quality looking frame. Image quality is excellent and the app is super easy to use. I am so happy with the purchase that I think I’m going to buy another one for myself.
Big screen, easy to set up and use. Love the two pics at a time. Also love the snooze mode so it turns off and on at certain times.

Easy to send pictures to the frame
I’ll start by saying I barely write reviews. Only when something is really good or really bad. This product was the latter. It started off ok…nice looking frame. Very quick set-up. We purchased as a holiday gift for my mother (65 y/o and somewhat tech savy) who lives a plane ride away so we could surprise her with pictures of our family now and then. We really liked the email option. Our kids set-up the custom email address and it was somewhat inappropriate, so I reached out to customer service to see how to delete it and set-up another. It took a day or so, but they got back to me and reset the frame. I thought this was inconvenient that we couldn’t do it ourselves especially since all the uploaded photos on the old address were now removed, but wasn’t that concerned at first.
We started to upload photos to the new address and noticed that the mail icon and timer appeared in the upper right hand corner. It didn’t go away for over two weeks that we had the product. Meaning that it was trying to download and couldn’t. The photos also lagged in spots and I received messages that “ourskylight is not responding”. Also the menu button on the back was not responding at all. Clearly something was wrong. I turned the frame on/off, reset my wifi router, placed the frame by the router, etc, etc. Everything the website said on their troubleshooting section. I even deleted every photo assuming we sent too many than the storage could handle. No luck. I have a home office so it’s not like I had issues on my end with WiFi. There was no actual customer service number to contact, which is the norm these days and fine, but email customer service did’t get back to me for almost a week. I wanted this all set-up for a gift and needed time to return, receive new and set-up in time for Christmas. Thank goodness Amazon stepped in immediately and sent me a shipping label and full refund (even though this was a 3rd party vendor).
As I wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice, I started to do some more research on similar products. There are much better and more economical frames out there. Getting down to the basics:
1. There aren’t a whole lot of “customized” options on here. The settings button is kind of a joke and only lets you select a wifi address or tell you “how it works” email address. No other real settings. You can select a different speed (in seconds) but I noticed it reset from my 5 seconds per frame to 10 seconds. Perhaps part of the original defect. Another review called this a “One Trick Pony” and boy were they right.
2. To delete photos, you have to go to each and do it one at a time. Select…delete. Select…delete. Kind of archaic.
3. Other frames have motion sensor on/off. Nice as this frame requires a hard wired outlet and you would need to manually turn off if this was, say, next to your nightstand and you didn’t want the frame on when you slept.
4. The touchscreen is worse than the first version of whatever touchscreen device rolled out. Slow, pressure sensitivity was terrible, etc. Again archaic.
5. Does not play video. Many of them don’t and the ones that do are more expensive. But just saying don’t buy if you want to play video.
In short, this was one of the more expensive frames out there. The lack of features, seemingly “old fashioned” tech and poor customer service makes this a hard pass for me. That is on top of the fact that mine came defective. I’ll say they did finally get back to me on how to return for a refund, but too late for me.
I’m hoping I have better results with NixPlay.
We live on the other side of the world from our friends and family; this is an amazing way to feel connected. It was easy to set up and even easier to share the link with family and friends!! I highly recommend this – and have done our family and friends.
