Review for Rust-Oleum 7747830 Stops Rust Spray Paint, 12 oz, Gloss Sunburst Yellow

This spray paint is amazing! I used it to give my old dresser a fresh look, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The paint provides a durable protective coating that prevents rusting and withstands the weather. It dries quickly and has excellent coverage, allowing me to finish my project in no time. The glossy finish adds a beautiful shine to the surface.

Another great thing about this paint is its versatility. It can be used on various surfaces like wood, metal, concrete, and masonry. Whether you’re looking to touch up your furniture or add a protective top coat to your paintings, this spray paint does the job perfectly.

The only drawback I noticed is that it has a slight odor while using, but it dissipates quickly. Overall, I highly recommend the Rust-Oleum 7747830 Stops Rust Spray Paint for anyone looking for a quality paint at an affordable price.

      1. Very old stock. See third pic where near the bottom it is printed (c) 1999! Can dirty and rusted (see pic). Cap had become brittle and broke to pieces in trying to open. Spray nozzle is blocked and non-functional. I replaced nozzle from another can but spray is not uniform. Let’s see if I can use at least some of the content. Overall, very poor. I had purchased another Rust-Oleum from this seller before but it was okay though a bit old stock of 2016. This item being non-returnable I am hesitant about purchasing from Truworth again.

      2. I put hardware cloth around my chicken’s yard and I hated the look of it.

Their yard is black steel so the hardware cloth on the bottom half stood out like a big sore thumb.

I used this black spray paint on the hardware cloth and it totally makes it almost invisible.

Rather than seeing a sharp silver and black contrast, their fencing is all black now.

        It looks super sharp.

I love how easy and how well my project turned out.

I would definitely recommend this paint.

        I hope this was helpful.

      3. Supper product. With this one can I could manage painting 5 Fans. I did felt that quantity is less. But it’s been a month since I painted and the quality seems good.

      4. We used this Rustoleum spray to re-paint our metal mailbox – originally painted with brushed-on rustoleum Hunter Green (fifteen years ago).
The original paint had chipped and peeled in small areas, so we first sanded the entire box with 120 grit abrasive fabric.
The spray was applied without primer – the first coat was allowed to dry and then a second coat applied. The coverage was very good, even on quarter-sized bare peeled areas. Gloss was about as expected. ~ The Duffian

      5. Painting pocket replacement windows prior to install. The black options are twice the amount of white windows. Based on research this or the can brush style paint work great.

Though brush would not be as even and possibly thicker. A roller would work for the flat surfaces. Not crevices. Pella windows have lots of nooks and crannies. So far this product is working exceptionally well.

I’ve used it on storm window frames and the interior of a window installed when bought the house. Also, a pocket replacement preinstalled. Worked perfect. Still looks great a year later.

For touch ups will be using the cam style with a small roller in the future. Semi gloss, as well.

Great price and in stock. Big box stores ran out. I’m so happy ordered a half dozen more for the rest of the windows. They’re all being replaced. Going for the NYC hometown vibe living abroad.

        ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏆

      6. I recently retrieved a beat up, tall 6 drawer dresser from the trash. Washed it down, took off crappy hardware, lightly sanded with palm sander. Used up a few old cans of light paint for a base coat, then covered with this antique white. Puttied and sanded gouges and noticeable imperfections. With light paint projects, flaws will show, I don’t sweat stuff that isn’t noticeable unless you are standing up on it, staring at it. (Think hobby, not furniture restorer.) End result was a nice semi gloss, hard finish. $20 hardware; 2 lion knockers on each drawer, and about $24 on this paint. Would have been closer to $40 on paint if I didn’t have some on hand to use for base. A fun weekend project that turned out WOW! Can’t beat Rust-Oleum for these kinds of instant gratification projects. When/if they don’t turn out, it’s disappointing, but only the cost of paint is lost, and it’s fun trying. When they DO turn out, it is SO rewarding and gratifying.

      7. Rust-Oleum 7779830 Stops Rust Spray Paint, 12 oz, Gloss Black. This paint has pretty good coverage for one coat and it stands up pretty well to the weather. I used it on my street sside mail box and it still looks good seven years later. Even though it looked ok I re-sprayed the mail box just to freshen up the paint. This paint holds up well. I also bought it in white and the same opinion applies.

      8. Don’t let the “Rust”-Oleum name deter you from getting this. I use this to put a spray coat on my finished Paint by Numbers. It has just the right sheen, dries clear and coats well and protects the paintings from dust and dirt.

It can also be used on anything you paint that you want to put a protective top coat on.

It has a little bit of an odor when using, but it dissipates pretty quickly.

Great product for a great price.

      9. Couldn’t get this is Canada so had to order it out of the states, almost perfect color match for my 84 Honda Fl250 odyssey 🍻
